The Clamper is part of the
Wire Bonding Instruments. This product prevents the gold wire
from slacking. A pair of clampers holds the gold wire in place
and adjusts the tension at the time of the Wire Bonding. Generally,
two pairs of Clampers are incorporated into a Wire Bonding
Instrument. The upper pair of Clampers can be exchanged by
the air tension tool.
The Clamper Surface and its edges are polished smoothly and
spherically so that the gold wire is not damaged.
