Micralyne has provided Full Foundry Services as one of
the leading MEMS Foundries in North America for over 20 years.
Micralyne was founded in 1982 as a not-for-profit research
institute at the University of Alberta in Canada, and spun
off as a private company via a management buy-out in 1998.
Micralyne is now one of the few profitable independent MEMS
foundries in the world today. The City of Edmonton, Micralyne’s
home and capital of the province of Alberta, is the center
of significant activity in the fields of nanotechnology and
MEMS in Canada.
Micralyne works with major instrumentation companies in many
industries including telecommunications, automotive, aerospace,
and lifesciences. Over 60 % of Micralyne’s revenue is from
OEM Manufacturing customers, and the remaining revenue comes
from customer-driven Research and Development projects.
